San Francisco California, Frankfurt Germany, Moscow Feb, 15th 2003

Navastream announced today it will sponsor extreme Off Road Rally racing team- Team Takima who will compete in one of the most grueling races on earth, the Trans -Siberian Road Rally-Pole of Cold Motor Rally at the end of March. Team Takima will have two vehicles, one of which will be driven by famed Jamaican Reggae singer Lenky Roy. The annual Pole of Cold road race, which ends at the coldest inhabited place on Earth, Oimyakon, Siberia (Republic Sakha).

The five-day race crosses 5,000 kilometers of some extremely harsh terrain, including a stretch of the Road of Bones, a roadway built by inmates of Stalin's gulags, at a very high cost in human life, reportedly a life for every meter of road laid.

The 5-day rally begins in Yakutsk, the regional capital, and ends in the tiny village of Oymyakon, the "pole of cold," where a temperature of minus 96 degrees Fahrenheit was recorded in 1924, making it the world's coldest inhabited place.

Team Takima-Navastream will communicate with Wired news www.wired.com via secure video conference and email. Wired will post daily video reports to its website as they become available via Satelleite and the Internet. Seth Engstrom of Navastream says “This is a great opportunity to test out some of newest Navastream Technology in Video Conferencing, Email and LapTop security” Engstrom further added it doesn’t get any better than this Wildnerness, Gulags, minus-96 degrees Fahrenheit and KGB.”
